So I'm not really ready to admit this, but we are getting really close to the start of the 2021-2022 school year. That means it's time for me to start thinking about my Back-to-School Wardrobe. And while I hope to pull as many items as possible from my own closet, it's always nice to add a few new items as well. And if those items are on sale...even better. That's why I'm digging into LOFT's sale section looking for the best transition pieces while they are 50%+20% off! Check out what I added to my cart and let me know what you think!
Happy Friday, Ladies! So my blogging skills have not improved...but now that the longest school year ever has come to an end, I've decided that it might just be time to finally finish the office makeover that I have putting off for years. I've had the furniture...including the sofa (similar) and cabinetry...for quite awhile, but I've never gotten around to finishing off the room. As a result, the walls are still the horrible peach color they were painted when we first moved in six years ago. I guess I've just been looking for the right accent to pull it all together...and I think I found it with this removable wallpaper from Overstock. I mean...it features two of my favorite colors, navy and mustard, and it still matches the gray items that are already in the room. Almost everything else I need to buy, like the curtain panels and chenille throw, are from Target.
Take a look and let me know what you think! Happy Sunday, Ladies! So I am really bad at this blogging thing. I have so many ideas about the posts I want to write, then I get caught up in all of the work that has to be done for school...especially this year...and I never get around to putting pen to paper, so to speak. But yesterday my husband spend the day hosting an online debate tournament, and I was left with loads of time to browse the weekend's sales. And when I ran across these Drapey Pull-On Pants from J. Crew for just $25...I knew I had to have them! One thing led to another, and before I knew it I had mentally paired them with most of the spring staples in my closet...which, of course, justified my purchase. So here you have it...one pair of pants 5 ways, using items most of already own!

Like the rest of the country, we've spent most of the week under a blanket of ice and snow. Fortunately, our biggest inconvenience has been a sore back... I'm really not cut out for shoveling snow and I really need to get back to the gym...and reworked lesson plans. At this point, I've switched things around so many times that I had create an organizational slide just so I can remember which group of students has been assigned which task. And then add Snow Days and Digital Days into that mix...I nearly had a nervous breakdown 😬 and had to walk away for a bit. Which brings me to this post...the first I've written in months. I really needed a break from all things school and decided that a bit of retail therapy was in order. The result was this Early Spring Capsule Wardrobe featuring a two of my favorite colors...navy and mustard. It will help make the transition to warmer weather, but will also mix and match with most of the items I already have in my closet...or at least the ones that still fit after all of the weight I've gained. And since I have no self-control and bought almost everything here, I can take a few minutes away from work every week and start photographing outfits again. Take a look and let me know what you think! First off, I want to apologize for not posting one of these Tuesday Treats last week. I got completely overwhelmed trying to get a few things in order for the start of the school year and just had to walk away from the computer. Anyway, I promise that today's post is extra good in exchange. I mean...just look at that Bandana T-Shirt! I'm in love...especially paired with those Color-Blocked Earrings! I paired them with a pair of Tie-Waist Pants, Faux-Leather Slides, and a Canvas Tote to keep that Saturday morning at the farmer's market vibe, but I would honestly wear this with a Sweater Blazer and Ballet Flats in my classroom.
As a side note, remember that not only are these ready-made outfits a great Tuesday Treat for yourself, they are also awesome to share with a loved one in order to make their shopping easier and ensure a gift that you are going to love! Bonus points if they also plan the perfect day to go with it! It's Tuesday again, and you know what that means! Time for another treat! This one starts with a Midi Dress from J. Crew that just screams that I'm headed to a polo match with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere! I added a pair of Pearl Stud Earrings that are way prettier in person than they are in the photo along with a matching set of Bangle Bracelets. Finally, throw on a pair of sandals...flats because who wants to fall into a horse divot...and you're all set to travel back to 1990!

Bonus points if they also plan the perfect day to go with it! Happy Friday, Friends. I've done this a few times in the past, so I thought I would bring it back this week. These are a few of the items that have been sitting in my cart this week, just waiting for me to make a decision. All of them would integrate perfectly into my Spring and Summer Wardrobe...a collection that I'm going to remix a bit when we go back to school in August since it's mostly still hanging in my closet with tags. Take a look and let me know what you think.
Happy Tuesday, Ladies! For today's Tuesday Treat, I decided to start with this Striped Midi Skirt from LOFT. The pull-on style is perfect for my expanding waistline, and the colors are just gorgeous. I paired it with the same white Textured Sweater and neutral Ankle Strap Sandals that were featured in a previous post. Finally, top it all off with a pair of Tassel Earrings and some Coil Bracelets and you're all set!

Bonus points if they also plan the perfect day to go with it! Happy Tuesday, Friends! With the holiday just around the corner, there are a ton of amazing sales right now! But for today's Tuesday Treat, I decided to go with one more red, white, and blue look. And while some of my other looks have been a bit dressy, this one is perfect for a backyard cookout. It starts with this Ruffle Neck Crepe Top from J. Crew Factory. I paired it with a pair of white Chino Shorts because navy and white is my favorite color combination for summer. Finally, just add a pair of red Bead Earrings and Canvas Sneakers, and you are ready for hot dogs, potato salad, and ice cream. Oh...and fireworks, of course!
