Happy Thursday, Ladies! Mr. Teacher and I are preparing for a Fourth of July trip to Chicago where, unfortunately, there is rain in the forecast! But that's not going to stop me from wearing this adorable skirt I picked up on sale at Draper James. And let me tell you about the Draper James shopping experience. I mean, they give you sweet tea with the cutest paper straws when you walk in the door! And the store...I've already made plans to head to Lexington for Labor Day Weekend! Anyway...I love this little skirt! It has just the right flounce for twirling and it's the perfect colors for the holiday! I picked it up in a medium, so I would say it fits true to size.
As for what I'm going to pair with the skirt...I have quite a few options and, honestly, it depends on the weather that day. I am loving it with both the denim shirt from J. Crew and red tee from Banana Republic. Add my favorite leather earrings and gingham sandals for a fun look for fireworks on the Navy Pier or wherever else your holiday takes you! Everything else pictured can be found in my Summer Essentials Wardrobe. My plan is to put together a post like this each week to help you see all of the different ways you can mix and match and stretch your wardrobe. I'll tag and link everything with the heading Summer Wardrobe so it will be easy to search as I, hopefully, start posting more often!

Ladies...it's time for another Tuesday Treat and this one is REALLY good! I've put together a head-to-toe look from Ann Taylor for under $100, starting with this gorgeous Seamed Ponte Skirt! Add a lacy tee and sandals for the perfect work outfit. Switch things out with a more casual tee and sneakers for Sunday brunch! And while I don't own any of the pieces featured today, I do find that Ann Taylor runs true to size. I would order a medium in the skirt and a small in the tee. As a side note, remember that not only are these ready-made outfits a great Tuesday Treat for yourself, they are also awesome to share with a loved one in order to make their shopping easier and ensure a gift that you are going to love! Bonus points if they also plan the perfect day to go with it! Bangle Bracelet Set | Pendant Necklace | Initial Bar Necklace Yellow Beaded Raffia Earrings | Pink Beaded Raffia Earrings | Acrylic Leaf Earrings Happy Monday, Ladies! It is another rainy one here in Louisville, but I am here to cure your blues with some awesome Amazon finds! And everything is under $15! I have been trying to up my jewelry game lately, but it can get so expensive via my usual shopping options. That is especially true for fun trendy pieces that I'm probably only going to wear for a single season. And that is where Amazon has come to the rescue! I have been able to find nearly identical pieces for a price that fits my budget. For example, I found these adorable BP Beaded Bangles at Nordstrom, but couldn't quite justify the $30 price tag. After letting them sit in my cart for a couple of hours, I finally decided to search Amazon where I found this very similar set for just $10! Sold! And I'm just as excited about everything else in this post. I mean...how cute are these Acrylic Leaf Earrings? Add a fun jumpsuit and sandals and you are all set for a Friday night date night! And that Initial Bar Necklace...once I ordered the right letter (don't ask!), I've worn it with just about everything! Seriously...with how much success I've had with my Amazon finds, expect this to be a regular feature here on the blog! Happy Thursday, Friends! Mr. Teacher and I are back home after spending several days with family in Atlanta. And it has rained every single day since. In fact, according to our local weather report it has rained 21 out of 24 weekends here in Louisville making 2019 the wettest year on record. All of that has me dreaming of a trip to the beach where I can wear these Cropped Linen Pants from J. Crew while strolling along the boardwalk. These might be my favorite find of the summer, so far. They are crazy comfortable and hold up well to wrinkles...even as I crawled on the floor with two little ones in Atlanta! And they are lightweight enough to throw in my bag for Baltimore later this summer! I bought these in a medium but might have been able to do the small, so I would say to size down if you are in doubt.
In the featured photo, I paired the pants with this cute 'Be Kind' Tee I found on Amazon. I love the sunny yellow color and that I can wear it with jeans and a blazer once school starts. I sized up to a medium and found that it fit as I expected. I finished everything off with a pair of my favorite leather earrings and and a pair of sandals. Everything else pictured can be found in my Summer Essentials Wardrobe. One of my favorite things to do over on Facebook is to put together head-to-looks for under $100, and I am in love with this one that would be perfect for a casual brunch or shopping trip! Blue and yellow are one of my favorite color combinations and this Lemon Tank from LOFT adds a fun twist! I paired one of my favorite skirts from J. Crew Factory...I mean, who doesn't love a bow! I have this one in pink from last year, and I am seriously considering grabbing the blue while it's on sale! It does run a bit big, so size down if you are in doubt. Add some fun jewelry and a pair of sandals from Target, and you are all set!
As a side note, remember that not only are these ready-made outfits a great Tuesday Treat for yourself, they are also awesome to share with a loved one in order to make their shopping easier and ensure a gift that you are going to love! Bonus points if they also plan the perfect day to go with it! Happy Thursday, Ladies! After a few steamy days, it is unseasonably cool here in Louisville. Like in the 60s cool! As a result, it seemed to be the perfect time to share a few options for styling this Embroidered Teddie Sweater from J. Crew Factory. I mean, how cute is that lobster detail for a beach vacation? But seriously, the Teddie Sweater is one of my favorites because it's so lightweight. It's really just like wearing a long-sleeved t-shirt. And it comes in a ton of colors! I have been sizing up to a medium in these to allow a little extra room in case I want to add a button-up underneath. In the featured photo, I paired the sweater with these Drawstring Shirts I picked up at LOFT last night. I've gained a bit of weight since last year and have been struggling to find shorts that fit me. What I have learned is that elastic waistbands are my friend. So when these were sitting on the front table as I walked in, I scooped them up and ran to the fitting room. And, ladies, they are so good! I don't usually wear anything this shirt, but for some reason these did not make me uncomfortable. And they have plenty of room in the hips, so I wont spend all day tugging and readjusting them. I picked them up in a medium, so I would say that they fir true to size. Everything else pictured can be found in my Summer Essentials Wardrobe.
